Summary :
The requirement is for a domain Product Owner to work within the Wells Digitization Portfolio for our client, an Integrated Energy Major.
Responsibilities:
Product Ownership & Management
Led creating and managing product roadmaps, aligning with well-engineering objectives and digital strategies.
Define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog priorities in collaboration with stakeholders.
Oversee the complete product lifecycle, ensuring features are released on schedule and meet quality standards.
Manage backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint reviews with development teams.
Engage actively with digital teams to ensure alignment and integration of digital solutions with well-engineering goals
Work with wells domain experts and technical teams to incorporate functional and non-functional requirements into product roadmaps.
Communication & Awareness:
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with stakeholders.
Develop and execute communication plans to build awareness and excitement for new solutions.
Deployment & Scope Management:
Collaborate closely with customers to define clear requirements and ensure successful deployment of products.
Proactively manage scope to prevent creep and ensure projects stay on track.
Adoption & User Transition:
Drive user adoption of new solutions through effective training and support.
Manage the transition from legacy tools, minimizing disruption and encouraging user engagement.
Track key metrics to measure adoption progress and identify areas for improvement.
Sustainability & Platform Management:
Ensure the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of deployed solutions.
Manage platform upgrades and interface with relevant IT service operations teams.
Value Realization & Measurement:
Demonstrate the value delivered by new solutions post-deployment and adoption.
Define and track key metrics to measure the realized benefits against initial expectations.
Decommissioning & Legacy System Retirement:
Manage the complexities of data migration from legacy systems.
Address user concerns and minimize disruption during the decommissioning of old systems.
Requirements:
Product Owner experience and/or experience with software development processes
Understanding of Well engineering processes and/or Well Engineering software (Drilling, Completions, or Well Interventions)
Familiarity with agility
Experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or equivalent
Experience working with Azure DevOps(ADO) or equivalent
Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
Team spirit and good communication abilities
Good organizational skills
Desirable Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Wells domain experience with oil & gas super major
SAFe certification
Experience with data analysis and modeling tools.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
